That which a person knows, he holds in his ownership. It is known to him by that which he does not have; and that which he considers to be difficult only seems so, because of the things which he can do with ease.

We cannot know The Way itself without understanding reason. Nor can we see its qualities direct; we can see by differentiation and comparison that which it manifests. Thus, that which is seen as beautiful is beautiful compared with that which is seen as lacking beauty; an action considered skilled, is so considered in comparison with another, which seems unskilled.

 

Both knowledge and experience are real, but reality has many apparent forms, which seem to cause complexity, until it is realised that there is only one true reality. By using the intellectual means appropriate, we extend ourselves beyond the barriers of such complexity; removing confusion, we may experience The Way.

 

 

 

Though words or names are not required to live one’s life this way, to describe it, words and names are used, that we might better clarify The Way of which we speak, without confusing it with other ways in which the individual might choose to live. Through knowledge, intellectual thought and words, the manifestations of The Way are known. Without such intellectual intent, we might not experience true life, which is part of The All.

No man wishes to be seen as worthless in another's eyes, but the wise leader describes himself this way, for he knows that one may gain by losing, and lose by gaining, and that a violent man will not die a natural death.

Sea ice cover in the Arctic in 2011 has passed its annual minimum, reaching the second-lowest level since satellite records began, US scientists say.

The National Snow and Ice Data Center (NSIDC) says the minimum, reached on 9 September, was 4.33 million sq km.

That value is 36% lower than the average minimum for 1979-2000.

As the one known as the Buddha, the fifth of the Seven Signs, High Lord of the Veil, said,

“Long is the night to him who is awake; long is a mile to him who is tired; long is life to the foolish who do not know the truth, and instead follow the false and stupid beliefs of religion. Better to live one day seeing the highest pure truth than a hundred years not seeing the highest pure truth. Some form their duties arbitrarily and fabricate them artificially; they advance complex speculations and imagine that good results are attainable only by the acceptance of their theories; yet the truth is but one; there are not different truths in the world. Having reflected on the various theories, we have gone into the yoke with him who has shaken off all wrong. But shall we be able to proceed together with him?

“The best of ways is the eightfold path. This is The Way. There is no other that leads to the purifying of intelligence. Go on this path! The Path was preached by me when I had understood the removal of the thorn in the flesh. Not only by discipline and vows, not only by much learning do I learn the happiness of release which no worldling can know.”
